I have been a registered provider with BUPA for 15 years and have treated hundreds of clients coming through the BUPA route.
Typically, BUPA clients are assessed by BUPA or their GP/psychiatrist and then search on the BUPA list to locate a local therapist. All my venues are listed with BUPA so, if you wish to proceed, just contact me and we can have a brief chat and potentially book an appointment.
Once we have agreed to meet, a pre-authorization number can be obtained from BUPA which is allocated to my provider number. Typically, BUPA authorize 16 sessions at the start with the potential to expand the contract if necessary. However, the number of sessions allocated will also be determined by the type of cover the client enjoys and the terms of specific policies.
With access to the BUPA intranet, I can invoice BUPA directly. Please note that many BUPA policies have an excess which the client is liable for directly.
The BUPA system works very well and provides a sleek and seamless therapeutic journey.
